Adding Hatch Hollowing out Area


Adds a new area of hollowing out to the hatch.
It is possible to add a new hollow area to a hatch shape that has no hollow area or a hatch shape that already has a hollow area.

  1. Point [Edit Hatch] on [Edit] menu, and click [Add Hollow Area].
    Then you will be able to add a hollow out area to the hatch.
  2. Supplemental
    You can enter the state of adding hollow area by clicking on [Edit] toolbar.
  3. Click on the hatch shape to which you want to add a hollowed-out area.

When specifying an interior point

  1. Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Inner Point], click inside the area of the hatch where you want to hollow out.
    The smallest closed area surrounding the clicked point will be added as the hollowed-out area of the hatch.
  2. Supplemental
    If a hatch area could not be found or an area outside of the hatch was specified, the error message “No hollowing out area could be found that could be added to the hatch.” will be displayed.
    In the [Drawing Settings] dialog box, increasing the [Area search tolerance] makes it easier to find the hatched area.
    You can specify the inner point by inputting X and Y coordinates in [Inner Point] box on Command Window.

When specifying shapes of the hollow area

  1. Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Shapes of the hollow area], click each shape in turn that you want to hollow out in the hatch area.
    The area of the selected shapes is added as a hatched out area.
  2. Supplemental
    If a hatch area could not be found or an area outside of the hatch was specified, the error message “No hollowing out area could be found that could be added to the hatch.” will be displayed.
    If you click on distant shapes, they will not be recognized as areas. Please click adjacent shapes in order.
    In the [Drawing Settings] dialog box, increasing the [Area search tolerance] makes it easier to find the hatched area.
