Perform Regular Automatic Backup of Drawing Files


While creating a drawing file, this function backs it up automatically at a specified interval.

  1. Click [Options] on [Tools] menu.
    [Options] dialog box will be displayed.
  2. Click [File].
    [File] page will be displayed.
  3. Turn on [Automatic Backup] check box.
  4. Input a backup interval the interval box.
  5. Click [OK].
    The system will automatically back up drawing files at a specified interval.
Supplemental
If you back up your drawing files on a regular basis, you can open the backup file the next time you start it if RootPro CAD hangs or crashes.
If the [If you exit without saving, leave the last auto-backed up version] check box is unchecked, the backup file will be automatically deleted when RootPro CAD completes successfully.
If the [If you exit without saving, leave the last auto-backed up version] check box is selected, even if RootPro CAD ends normally, the auto-backed up recovery data will be left undeleted. You can open the automatically backed up recovery data from [File] - [Unsaved Automatic Backup File] menu.
