Modifying Locate Origin, Locate Angle, Locate Scale on Part Drawing Layout


  1. Click the part drawing layout whose setting is to be modified in the part drawing tree.
    Attributes of the part drawing layout will be displayed on Properties Window.

Modifying the reference point on the part drawing for the part drawing layout

  1. Input X and Y coordinates in [Reference point on the part drawing] box on Properties Window.
    Specify the reference point on the part drawing that corresponds to the placement point on the paper.

Modifying the placement point on the paper for the part drawing layout

  1. Input X and Y coordinates in [Placement point on the paper] box on Properties Window.
    Specify the placement point on the paper that corresponds to the reference point on the part drawing.
    Supplemental
    The placement angle and scale are applied based on the placement point on the paper.

Modifying the locate origin for the part drawing layout

  1. Input X and Y coordinates in [Locate Origin] box on Properties Window.
    Specify the coordinates on the paper that correspond to the origin (0, 0) on the part drawing. The locate origin for the part drawing layout will be modified, and the origin mark will be displayed at specified coordinate values.
    Supplemental
    Selecting the origin mark on the drawing will display a selection tracker. You can move the locate origin using this tracker.

Modifying the locate angle for the part drawing layout

  1. Input an angle in [Locate Angle] box on Properties Window.
    The locate angle for the part drawing layout will be modified, and the origin mark will be displayed at a specified angle.

Modifying the locate scale for the part drawing layout

  1. Click [Scale Setting Method] box on Properties Window.
    will be displayed on the right side of [Scale Setting Method] box.
  2. Click , and select a method to set a locate scale.
    XY Same Scale
    The same scale will be set for both X and Y axes.
    XY Different Scale
    Different scales will be set for X and Y axes.
  3. Input [Scale Numerator] and [Scale Denominator] box on Properties Window.
    When selecting [XY Same Scale] in [Scale Setting Method], input scales in [Scale Numerator] and [Scale Denominator].
    When selecting [XY Different Scale] in [Scale Setting Method], input a scale for X axis in [X Scale Numerator] and [X Scale Denominator], and that for Y axis in [Y Scale Numerator] and [Y Scale Denominator].
    The scales for the part drawing layout will be modified.
  4. Supplemental
    When setting different scales for X and Y axes, scales for texts will also be modified in addition to shapes.
