Modifying Default Settings for Dimensions and Tolerances to be Created


Modify default settings for dimensions, dimension lines for tolerances, auxiliary dimension lines, dimension values, and added strings to be created.

  1. Click [Default Dimension Settings] on [Settings] menu.
    [Dimension] page on [Default Shape Settings] dialog box will be displayed.
  2. Click [Dimension], [Dimension Value], [Added String], [Tolerance], [Color/Line Type/Line Width] or [Auto] on the left of the dialog box to switch to the page containing default settings to be modified, and modify default settings for dimensions and tolerances.
    The modified content will be displayed on the preview on the bottom left of the dialog box.
  3. Supplemental
    Click on [Dimension Style] box, and select a registered style to reflect the settings for the style.
    Click [Load default dimension settings from template] menu of [Import/Export] to load default settings for the text on the template to current settings.
    Click [Load default dimension settings from other drawings] menu of [Import/Export] to load default settings for a text on other drawing currently opened to current settings.
  4. Click [OK].
    The default settings for the dimension will be modified.
  5. Supplemental
    The modified settings will become valid for dimensions and tolerances to be created. To modify the settings for dimensions and tolerances already created, point [Modify Shape Settings] on [Edit] menu, and click [Modify Shape Settings] or [Modify Dimension Settings] (only selectable for dimensions) to select a dimension or tolerance, or click in [Dimension Settings] or [Tolerance Settings] box on Properties Window.
