Managing Drawing Settings as Styles


RootPro CAD Professional can manage settings in [Shape Settings] dialog box as styles for individual shape types.

Registering settings as styles

  1. Modify a setting in [Shape Settings] dialog box, and click [Register...].
    [Register Style] dialog box will be displayed.
  2. Input a style name.
  3. Select [Registered To:].
    Select [Drawing] to register the style to a drawing.
    Select [Template] to register the style to a template.
  4. Click [OK].
    When registering to a drawing, the input style will be displayed in [Style] box. When registering to a template, the current settings will be registered as a style for a template.
  5. Click [OK] on [Shape Settings] dialog box.
    Then registering to a drawing, the current settings will be registered as a style.
  6. Supplemental
    Styles can be registered for each shape type.
    You cannot use the same name as already registered for a shape type. When trying to register the same name for the style, a overwriting confirmation message will be displayed. You can use the same style name as already registered for a different shape type.

Loading a registered style

  1. Click on [Style] box.
    A list of registered styles will be displayed.
  2. Click a style you wish to load.
    Settings for a shape displayed on [Shape Settings] dialog box will be modified to selected style settings.
  3. Supplemental
    Styles included only in drawing templates are displayed with an asterisk (*). Select a template style to copy the style to the drawing.

Modifying style

  1. Click [Settings] for styles.
    [Style Settings] dialog box will be displayed. On [Style Settings] dialog box, you can add a new style, modify an existing style, delete an unnecessary style, or other operation related styles.

Registering shape settings as style

Obtain the settings from a shape already created, and register as styles.

  1. Click [Register Shape Settings as Style] on [Settings] menu.
  2. Select a shape whose settings are to be obtained
    [Register Style] dialog box will be displayed.
  3. Input a style name.
  4. Select [Registered To:].
    Select [Drawing] to register the style to a drawing.
    Select [Template] to register the style to a template.
  5. Click [OK].
    [Style Settings] dialog box will be displayed, so you can check the settings for the selected shape.
  6. Click [OK].
    The settings will be registered as a style.
