Measuring Angle


The following 4 methods can be used to measure an angle.

To display a command parameter to be executed, click / of command parameters, or press Tab key or / key on the keyboard.

  1. Click [Measure Angle] on [Tools] menu.
  2. Specify a target whose angle is to be measured.
    Specifying a target displays the measured angle in [Measurement Results] dialog box.
    When specifying the start point and end point
    Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Start Point] box, and click the start point and end point on the drawing.
    The angle between a line connecting the start and end points, and X axis will be measured.
    When specifying the center point, start point and end point
    Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Center Point] box, and click the center point, start point and end point on the drawing.
    The angle between a line connecting the center point and start point, and that connecting the center point and end point will be measured.
    When specifying a shape
    Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Shape] box, and click a shape.
    The angle between the clicked shape and X axis will be measured.
    Shapes whose angle can be measured are lines, polylines, infinite lines, rays, arcs and texts.
    When specifying 2 shapes
    Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Shape 1] box, and click 2 shapes.
    The angle at the intersection of selected shapes will be measured.
    Shapes whose angle can be measured are lines, polylines, infinite lines, and rays.
  3. Copy
    Click it to copy the measurement results to the Windows Clipboard.
    Accuracy
    Click to specify the number of decimal places displayed.

  4. Click [Close].
    [Measurement Results] will be closed.
Supplemental
The unit for measurement results can be modified in [Drawing Settings] dialog box.
You can specify the start point, end point and center point by inputting X and Y coordinates in [Start Point], [End Point] and [Center Point] boxes on Command Window.
