Using Selection Tracker


Selecting a shape displays a selection tracker on the shape. You can stretch, move, copy or rotate the shape using the selection tracker.

Stretching Shape

  1. Select one shape.
    A selection tracker will be displayed on the shape.
  2. Click a tracker handle displaying arrows in both directions when placing a cursor.
    The tracker handle will be able to stretch. Moving the cursor displays a rubber band (temporally displayed shape) for the shape according to the cursor position.
  3. Click a position to stretch.
    The tracker handle will move to the clicked position, and the shape will be stretched.
  4. Supplemental
    For polylines, dimensions, leads and balloons, clicking a tracker handle while pressing Shift key will enable to select multiple tracker handles. Moving the cursor under this state will move all selected tracker handles.

Moving and Copying Shape

  1. Select a shape.
    A selection tracker will be displayed on the shape.
  2. Click a tracker handle displaying arrows in up, down, left or right directions when placing a cursor.
    The shape will be able to move or copy. Moving the cursor displays a rubber band (temporally displayed shape) for the shape according to the cursor position.
  3. To move the shape, click a position to be moved to.
    To copy the shape, click a position to be copied to while pressing Ctrl key.
    The shape will be moved/copied to the clicked position.
  4. Supplemental
    You can move or copy the shape by selecting a position other than the tracker handle for the shape and drag the cursor to it.
    When selecting multiple shapes, a selection tracker will not be displayed.

Rotating Shape

Rotates the selected shape.
Shapes that can be rotated with the selection tracker are text, images, drawing components and rectangle (polyline).

  1. Select a shape.
    A selection tracker will be displayed on the shape.
    A tracker handle for rotation is displayed at the position relative to the reference point of the shape.
  2. Click the tracker handle that shows a rotating arrow when you hover over it
    The tracker handle is ready to rotate, and when you move the cursor, the rubber band of the shape (temporally displayed shape) is displayed according to the cursor position.
  3. Click the position to rotate
    The shape will be rotated in the direction you click.
